Stirling Woodworks Ltd. was founded by William Glegg in 1986 with the aim of delivering top-notch custom millwork to his clients. William's core values of honesty, passion for technology and a drive to innovate became the bedrock of the company. Steve Glegg, William's son, continued his father's legacy by upholding these values and vision for the business. Today, Steve Glegg's children are also involved in continuing this family legacy.

With our cutting-edge equipment and software, Stirling Woodworks Ltd. is committed to providing you with the highest quality custom millwork. Our portfolio includes award-winning architectural millwork for a diverse range of residential, commercial and institutional projects.

Our commitment to quality and service has been recognized many times, including Gold awards at the 2015, 2017 and 2019 AWMAC awards ceremonies. We are also proud to have contributed to several winning projects at the 2023 Okanagan House Awards of Excellence. We extend a special thank you to all of the designers we have worked with.

How we work

Solved on paper before anything is cut.

Every piece starts as a precise shop drawing and a 3D model, so the details are worked out before production begins. We build and finish in our own shop in Maple Ridge, and our own crew installs it, so one team stays on the project from the first drawing to the final fit.

  • Shop drawings & 3D modelling Accurate drawings that designers and builders can sign off with confidence.
  • Built and finished in-house Solid wood, veneers, laminates and solid surface, finished under one roof.
  • Installed by our crew Our own installers fit every piece on site, with clear communication from start to finish.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do you offer custom design services for all project sizes?

Yes. We offer custom design services for projects of all sizes, from individual pieces to full millwork packages.

We specialize in millwork and cabinetry craftsmanship rather than full-scale interior design. We are happy to collaborate with you throughout the design process, offering technical guidance, material expertise and detailed shop drawings to bring your vision to life.

For projects requiring extensive design development or broader interior planning, we recommend working with a professional interior designer. We regularly collaborate with designers and are pleased to work as part of a larger design team.

What materials do you work with?

We pride ourselves on our versatility when it comes to materials. From melamine and laminate for a sleek, modern look, to the timeless beauty of solid wood, and solid surface materials for durability and unique applications, we offer an extensive selection. Our team will guide you in choosing the most suitable material for your project, and we source materials of the highest quality for lasting craftsmanship.

Is my project a good fit for your shop?

We specialize in custom millwork and cabinetry for residential, commercial and specialty projects. Whether your project is a single statement piece or a full-home package, we focus on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and collaboration with designers, builders and homeowners. If you're looking for exceptional quality and precise execution, your project is likely a great fit.

What sets your millwork apart from other shops?

Our work combines expert craftsmanship with careful planning and in-house finishing. We use high-quality materials, precise shop drawings and 3D modelling to ensure every piece is accurate and beautifully executed. Beyond the technical details, we pride ourselves on clear communication, collaborative problem-solving, and the ability to bring complex designs to life with a level of care that only a dedicated, hands-on team can provide.
